Something happened only a moment ago. See the egg yolk hasn't even dried on the plate. Something interrupted a peaceful breakfast. The scream of a child? Fire on the stove? A screech of brakes on the street outside? Or was it just a knock on the door? A neighbor with a coffee cake or a pitcher of fresh squeezed orange juice, perhaps?
So many possibilites. I like how you summed them up over breakfast (or is it supper?) Eggs are rarely served for breakfast in my home! A really nice write!
ReplyDeleteLove the possibilities... a friend at the door sounds nice. Can I choose?
ReplyDeletebeautiful explorations on the image.
ReplyDeletewell composed tale.
The picture does lend itself to many questions. Nicely done.

ReplyDeleteGreat take on the prompt. What the emergency was? Hmm... it's a mystery to me, too. Thanks for making me think. = )

ReplyDeleteLover with the morning paper? I like that one. But who is that singing in the shower?
ReplyDeleteClever take - for sure. My mind spins with possibilities.
